Warning signs
Signs You Need More Material Handling Equipment
- Still using wood pallets directly on beams — wire decking is now an OSHA and fire-code expectation
- Frequent forklift strikes at the same columns — column guards or end-of-aisle guards are overdue
- Surface rust on decking or column hardware — upgrade to galvanized components for Dulles corridor dock and port environments
- Insurance carrier or fire marshal flagged missing in-rack safety accessories at last audit
- Building out a pick-pack operation and need pallet supports, dividers, or flow rails
- Dock plates, seals, or levelers are past their service life — dock damage is climbing
- Adding a new product line that needs specialty containers, drum handlers, or specific lifters
Straight answers
Material Handling questions
1 Do you provide forklifts, or only racking?
Both. We stock and sell new and used sit-down counterbalance forklifts, reach trucks, turret trucks, order pickers, and pallet jacks from major manufacturers — along with electric and LP fuel options sized for the Dulles corridor environment. We also handle forklift rentals for phased moves and peak-season coverage during port surge and holiday periods.
2 What material handling equipment beyond forklifts do you offer?
Our MHE lineup includes mezzanines, conveyor systems, lift tables, modular offices and equipment rooms, partition systems, dock equipment (levelers, seals, bumpers), in-rack lighting, and pick-to-light / pick-to-voice integration. We commonly design these into the same Dulles corridor warehouse project as the rack.
3 Can you integrate MHE with our new rack layout?
Yes — this is how we prefer to design. Rack layouts done without MHE integration often result in mismatched aisle widths, wrong conveyor elevations, or dock door heights that do not match staging levels. We design rack and MHE together for new Dulles corridor installs and retrofit MHE into existing rack when operations evolve.
4 Do you install the equipment you supply?
Yes. Conveyors, lift tables, mezzanines, modular offices and rack accessories are delivered and installed by our own crews, sequenced against the rack installation so the trades are not working over each other. Installing equipment and rack as one scope is also what keeps aisle widths, conveyor elevations and dock heights consistent with the layout they were designed against.
5 Where can I buy warehouse equipment like conveyors and mezzanines in Northern Virginia?
Dulles Pallet Racking supplies conveyors, lift tables, mezzanines, modular offices and partition systems to warehouses across Loudoun, Fairfax and Prince William Counties, with delivery and installation from the same team that does the racking. Bundling equipment with a rack project usually reduces total cost and avoids trade-coordination headaches. Forklift sales, rental and service are handled by our sibling site, Dulles Forklifts.
